Our Story QBT Excavating started in 2015 thanks to the inspiration and leadership of Bob Cooney (former owner of Cooney Excavating). Bob had a life altering condition and as a result received a heart transplant December 26th, 2013. As a result of his condition Bob sold his ownership in Cooney Excavating. Fast forward a few years later and visions of QBT Excavating began. Bob's Son-in-law Jayson Clarey and close family friend/ former employee Pat McEvoy (over 25 years of experience) approached Bob's wife Cathy Cooney in hopes of starting something special. Bob graciously volunteered his wisdom and guidance and QBT Excavating Services Ltd. was born. Soon after Bob's Stepson Kyle Mountenay a commerce graduate of the university of Ottawa and finance professional joined the team. Since QBT started in 2015 it has become one of the most well known and trusted excavating company's in the area; building on Bob's reputation of over 30 years in the trade.
