We decided to use Liam and his team based on a recommendation from a neighbour of ours. Liam's communication before the work began was good and when he gave us the estimate he explained the reasoning behind it and how it was broken down. The actual work started earlier in the year than expected and Liam checked with us first to see that it would be ok to do so. He arrived promptly each day, tidied up at the end of each day and the finished job is exactly as we requested and expected. A very neat and tidy piece of work. His team were also polite and courteous throughout and consulted with us before making any adjustments to the final design. Overall, very pleased.

We were recommended to use Bartley's and I have to say I am over the moon with the work that's been done. Ian and Andy work hard, they coped with the changes we made as the work was being done. I would 100% recommend Bartley Groundworks & Paving for the professionalism and work done. I have already recommended to a friend who’s looking to have her garden landscaped. From day one Liam was reliable and always stuck to deadlines for visits, quotes and scheduling work etc. The job was completed by Ian and Andy who were super hardworking, listened, suggested and adapted to fit e.g. originally we were due to have steps but after mentioning about mobility issues in the family, Ian suggested a ramp which worked perfectly. Both Ian and Andy were great to have around giving me tips about lawn care and other things. The transformation from wasteland front garden to a practical, safe and grassed area we can enjoy as a family (with an additional area to park at the side!) is amazing! It took a while to feel like it was our front garden! Thank you all for your hard work it’s made such a difference!

First and foremost Gavin is a really genuine guy who will work with you to achieve your goal. His work is immaculate and his approach is methodical ensuring there are no surprises when digging. Having said that he is also very fast. He completed some back filling and new trench work, for our Edwardian property where no one really know where all the pipes, electric are and Gavin was excellent at ensuring the work was completed without any damage what so ever. I have had incidents in the past where old drains have been smashed etc so the careful approach is worth its weight in gold. His day rate is very good value for the service and quality of work he achieves. I will definitely work with Gavin again on future projects and will be sure to recommend him to family and friends.

Had horrendous weather on a few days but they worked around it and the end result is just what we wanted.Would highly recommend RMS for patio work.The original area was a mix of old loose slabs, cement, grass and rotting wooden decking covered in astroturf. Now an outside area we are proud of and happy to share with friends and family.

Great communication with project manager. Good finish. Took too long and plumbing was done badly. 1 main bathroom and 1 small ensuite ripped out in august 2021 and finished in March 2022. Plumbers fit the shower tray piping incorrectly and its caused problems ever since. Ensuite toilet flush doesn't work properly.

We have had the opportunity to renovate homes and flats in a variety of places around the world. The conclusion has unfortunately been the same in each location, which is that it was impossible to recommend any of the companies to anyone else. For the first time I am taking the time to write a review because we seldom write about things that work well. We feel it important to do the promotion of someone or a company when things have gone exceptionally well. Over the summer of 2022 we renovated our garden of our semi-detached home. The garden is rather large, and we were also going to integrate an office and shed at the back. We also decided to redo the front entrance garden as well on this occasion. The initial phase of consulting architects and landscapers proved far more complicated than we had anticipated. There was little listening, and extremes of either just having a railroad garden or grandiose plans of an outdoor kitchen, which in Leicestershire would not get a great amount of use.
