Making a PlanToDig Enquiry A PlanToDig Enquiry is an easy 4-stage process; it is often quicker than creating and sending an email. 1) Your Site: Using `Find your Site`, start typing in the Address of your Site; you will be able to select from the list provided. The Site Address and the Plan you mark up produces the `Site Specification`. 2) Possible Contacts: We run your Site Specification against the Area of Interest (AoI) for all known Asset Owners. This generates the `Possible Contacts` showing who / Estimate of any charge* they will make. 3) Selected Contacts: You choose the Contact(s) that you need Plans from for your Site. In addition to utility plans (electric/gas etc.), you can ask for Authority/Pipeline/Railway/Mining etc. 4) Enquiry Type: You choose how you wish to conduct your New PlanToDig Enquiry. SelfPlan is free* as you do all the work yourself (we give you the Enquiry documents). or Retriever where you pay us an Admin fee to do it all for you. *Asset Owner Charges normally apply for both SelfPlan and Retriever Enquiries. Retriever makes payments and accounts for Actual Charges; with SelfPlan you are responsible for confirming and making each Charge payment. FastTrack for Retriever Enquiries National One Call has permission to access a number of Asset Owner planning systems to give Plans to Enquirers. For these we offer a FastTrack Service Asset Owners aspire to respond within 10 Working Days; FastTrack can get some plans within 1 Working Day*. The scope of the work was to excavate and level the site and remove arisings, install drainage, build retaining wall, lay foundations, and ground slabs and provide site access, ready for the erection of the external timber SIPS superstructure.A J McPherson Ltd worked closely with us to organize and deliver this work, within a tight timescale (February to April 2017) to meet the delivery date for the SIPS panels. Alistair McPherson led the work himself and I was particularly impressed by his level of competence and experience and by the way he organised his team and communicated with us on a daily basis before and during the project. Alistair confidently addressed any problems as they arose, for example working with the structural engineer to ensure proper stabilisation of a soft spot in the ground at the rear of the property.The team worked safely, carefully and efficiently and within our agreed budget with a clear focus on the end goal. I was particularly pleased that the finished line and levels were within tolerance (particularly given the wet conditions during construction) and there were no issues at the interface with the SIPS panels. Once the building was erected, A J McPherson Ltd sourced and installed some galvanized steel beams for the bridge up to the front door, laid the footpath, built an additional retaining wall, and generally helped to leave a tidy site ready for landscaping. Alistair’s work included sheet piling to retain the site at both roadside and riverbank plus a significant retaining wall at Ground floor level to support the property half way down the site.Groundworks to include foundations, blockwork, drainage, rainwater attenuation tank, sewage pumping station, block & beam support for the drive and ground floor for the house. The work was completed with professionalism, liaising with structural Engineer, Architect and SIPS contractor to resolve issues in a practical manner, making good use of Alistair’s experience. We were informed at all times with program consequences of the challenges on site and are entirely satisfied with the job done and the handover to subsequent contractors.”
