Our highly organised team is experienced in all types of driveways, landscapes and civil works, from residential through to commercial. With over 32 years experience under our belts, we ensure to provide a professional, high standard of workmanship that is guaranteed.
Following the Christchurch Earthquakes, Armitage has forged strong relationships with all major rebuild insurance companies. In this role of preferred head contractor to these clients we have completed over 1500 domestic driveway and 200 commercial projects including all associated landscaping works.

Ensuring Professional Performance and Quality. At Armitage Landscapes and Driveways (Armitage Contracting Ltd.) The Full Project Management methodology is undertaken for all projects from scoping to finish. This ensures professional performance and high quality results. A designated Project Manager follows the whole project process from start to finish. Detailed documentation ensures the entire project process is monitored and controlled, hence the professional workmanship and quality of projects is guaranteed.
- Hill Sites
We are Hill Site Specialists with Proven Results. Hill sites require specialist and skilled management planning and experienced on site staff to safely and efficiently carry out these works. We have considerable experience in hill site concrete, asphalt and landscape works including demolition, design and placement. In our projects to date (unless specifically engineered) we have adopted an engineered methodology for sloping surfaces in excess of 16 degrees. This includes the design and installation of stabilizing beams and control / construction joints. In addition we have been responsible for compliance with all authorities, including minor storm water design and installation to suit.
- Health and Safety
Health and Safety are our highest priority. We operate a comprehensive Health and Safety system that keeps our customers and team safe. It complies with AS/NZ-4801 Safety Management Systems and the 2015 Safety at Work Act. We are Site Safe and Site Wise accredited, operate smoke free work environments, and incorporate a drug and alcohol policy with random testing. Environmental planning is incorporated in all our works and where excessive, professionals are engaged to manage accordingly. Quality control systems and planning are also incorporated in all aspects of our work including stage auditing and recording of all substrate works prior to surfacing. These systems are tailored to suit each type of project and are detailed further under each product category.
