“On the recommendation of David Ward, we used D G & M Construction to carry out a major refurbishment and alteration programme at our recently acquired home, Warnford Court, Thoralby. This included reroofing the main house in Hardraw artificial stone tiles and two substantial outbuildings in traditional Yorkshire stone slates and Greys Artstone slates respectively, repairing or replacing timber supports, gutters and downpipes as necessary. The project also involved tanking, drylining, plastering, reflooring, repointing, demolition of redundant outbuildings and partition walls, erection of new partition walls, creation of new door and window openings, rewiring, replumbing, redecoration and a host of other jobs, the whole taking over a year at a cost of several hundred thousand pounds and all in accordance with the requirements of listed building consents and planning permissions from the Yorkshire Dales National Parks Authority. D G & M co-ordinated the involvement of all other contractors including electricians, plumbers, decorators and other specialists. We would have no hesitation in recommending D G & M Construction for any similar project. The hands on involvement of the owners, Andrew McGregor and Chris Davidson, ensured that momentum was maintained throughout and they, their employees and subcontractors all proved to be competent, hardworking, honest, reliable and professional.
