The Warwickshire County Record Office welcomes all visitors. There is no need to make an appointment, but slots are available to book through Eventbrite. Bookings can only be made to view original documents. If you can't visit in person, check out our Copying Services and Enquiries pages.
The Warwickshire County Record Office now accepts the Archives Card. You can find full details online about registering for the Archives Card. To apply for an Archives Card, you'll need to complete the initial registration process before your visit. Facilities are available onsite for visitors who can't complete the initial registration before visiting. Visitors who want to use the searchroom but don't have an Archives Card or can't provide the required ID will be issued a temporary ticket. CARN tickets will still be accepted until their expiry date.
You don't need to order documents in advance. We offer a full document production service throughout the day. You can pre-order up to three items per person for free. To pre-order documents, email [email protected]. Document production closes at 3.30pm (Wednesday to Friday) and 11.30 am (Saturday).
If you want to photograph documents during your visit, you can purchase a photography permit ahead of time. You can find the links below for daily and weekly photography permits.
By booking to visit the record office, you agree to abide by our searchroom regulations. A copy of our regulations can be provided at reception. You can also find a copy of our regulations online.
We have a small car park available for visitors, including two accessible parking spaces which can be booked by phone or email.
Unless otherwise stated or advised, any postal correspondence will be dealt with using Royal Mail second class post.
